MBA degree have the most sought out education for fresh as well as experienced graduates in India. As the number of MNCs have increased many fold in IT, ITES and research, there have been a growing demand of managers from reputed institutes. India have come a long way from days when Indian have to always look for US or Europe to get MBA educations. In last 10 years the standard of education have improved drastically and image of Indian education have gone much higher. There has been a huge increase in foreign students enrolling for Indian premier MBA colleges.

Indian Institute of Management IIM Bangalore was the third IIM to be set up after IIM Ahmadabad and IIM Calcutta. IIM B was established in 1973 mainly to cater to public sector as the previous two IIMs were bent towards the private sector.

Average Salary:

IIM Bangalore didn't disclose their average salary this year. Other IIM to do same was IIM Lucknow. However it was very evident from various sources that there was an average hike of 10-15% as compared to last year offered salaries. Average package of IIM B was also similar to IIM A.One new phenomena which came to picture this year in IIM's placement was the large number of PSU participating in the recruitment process.

Like other IIMS, faculty for IIMB also comes from various public and private domain. Most of the faculty member are having doctorate degree. Like IIM A , IIM B also have various visiting faculties from various corporate and PSUs giving lectures in its class rooms.

Situated in cultural city of Lucknow, Indian Institute of Management IIM Lucknow was established by Government of India in 1984. However from different sources it was evident that average salaries in IIM Lucknow for 2010 was around INR 11-12 lacs for domestic and USD 90,000 for international placements. IIM L student offers for most of its 22o student which appeared in final placements. Total offered salary rise was in the range of 20-25%.

PGPIM:

For PGPIM highest domestic salary was INR 11.83 lacs and the average salary is Rs. 9.8lacs. Biggest recruiter was Cognizant.
