Hot Katrina Kaif has now grabbed the Number 1 Indian Actress position in Bollywood. After the end of era of Madhuri dixit and Kajol up to some extent, there was a vacuum in Indian cinema for the spot of topmost actress. Many female actress came and occupied this position for some time due to couple of hit movies but could hold this for long time. Karishma kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bacchan and Priyanka Chopra are some of the examples which looks promising to hold that position but finally have to give way to others.
Who would have thought that a small role in Boom in 2003 will start an astonishing career for this blue eyes girl in Indian film industry. But since then she picked up like a rising star and never let down her fans with her charm and acting skills.
Things which went in favour of Katrina was the surprise factor as no one gave much attention to her as she was British and could not speak Hindi properly. Some of her initial films voice were dubbed by some other actress. How ever she picked the language pretty quickly and have been using her own voice from New York.
Another thing which went into her favour was her look, skin and height. She was all compared to other actress. Her skin is fair since he mother is English but her hair color and other features are Indian as her father was a Kashmiri.
Kartina good luck started when she started pairing with Akshay Kumar. Together they gave many hits to the film industry which started with Namasty London where she played the role of British Indian girl which perfectly suited her. Then she again featured with Akshay in Welcome which was again a super Hit. And after that Askhay and Katrina joined again for the Singh Is king which is was highest grosser till Three Idiots. Their recent movie De Dana Dan was also a success at box office.
Its not that she was hit with Akshay Kumar only. Her pairing with other actors also proved successful for her when her pairing with Saif Ali Khan in Race, with John Abraham in New York and with Ranbir Kapoor in Ajab Prem Ki gajab Kahani were also box office super hit.
Hot Katrina Kaif popularity can be measure by the fact that she has been voted the most searched indian celebrity for third year in a row from 2007 to 2010 in both text and image search. She has been more searched than Salman, Aishwarya, Sah rukh Khan or even Amitabh Bachhan.
Not only this, she has was voted the 'Hottest Woman in the World' by Eastern Eye for last 3 consecutive year in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She has been out of any controversy or bad images through out her career.
In 2010, she also won the Stardust Best Actress Popular award for Newyork and Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani.
She has been in a constant relation ship with Salman Khan for last 3 years apart from some of the rumour of their break ups in between. She has also proved to be lucky charm for Salman as his acting career has also been lifted in last 3 years. This year his movies like Wanted and Dabang have been great success at the box office.
Only drawback of Katrina career till this time is that she has mostly featured in comedy movies in Bollywood. She may have done some serious roles in South Indian films but in Bollywood, apart from Rajneeti she has not been seen in very serious role till now.
Hot Katrina Kaif has a great fan following and as long as she has this great fan following, nothing seems to go wrong for her. It looks like she is going to hold No. 1 actress spot for long time to come.
